Well, he paid me So Here's an old one I fixed up a little:
And one more with a quick makeover:
Another study:
Today I decided to attempt to not-do-a-study:
My last finished one:
And a WIP:
Correction, now it's finished
More stuff (no idea why all of them have their heads turned left):
Another portrait study:
How long do you spend on a portrait study usually? They are looking good.
@bluepunkrise for most of these, it took me much longer than I think I should have spent on them, I can't tell exactly how long because I often have just 1-2 free hours a day(and not every day), occasionally I have longer, and usually need a week or two to finish a painting. And because it takes me so much time, I decided maybe I need to go back to something simpler I'm more comfortable with and try to work faster so I can do more studies. So I started doing some quicker sketches (I plan on doing 2-3 per week) I can just finish up in Photoshop. Here's this week's accomplishments:
Yesterday's sketch:
Another sketch and a painting:
Your stuff looks great, keep going. Yeah I had to spend a couple years of my life working 50+ hours every week and it's hard to fit art in there. It can be really frustrating!
My life has been a lot better since I cut work down to 40 hours and really focusing on art last year.
Not dead! I tried out a more "traditional" technique here ..
Welcome back! This new piece looks pretty good! I love the traditional pencil look you've achieved.
Another try at the same technique
I haven't posted here in a white, so here is some stuff …
These are really nice. Great job! Keep it up!
That is some really nice looking line work! These are traditional?
Hey @caffeinatedbrushes, thanks for the kind words They are all digital, happy to see I was successful in making it look traditional. I have been working on improving my linework recently, as I’m trying to shift to a more simplified manga style, will share results soon Here is something traditional that i see I haven’t posted on here, my 1st and only, for the time being, oil painting:
