Choose Russia, you'll not regret (but Japan and Mech go hand in hand, so actualy i dont know too). I think it's easier to choose in process. Good luck!

The last study you did looks more like a knight and less than a mech 😄 what isn't necessarily a bad thing, depending on where you want to go xD

yes well its a small study from an actual knight hahahah i would like to mix medieval with a mech its way out of my comfort zone but il figure something out

So i settled on the overall Idea wich is Mech with medieval armour and Russian historian elements incorporated i will choose one and continue from there.

Any advice/ ideas especially the legs id really apreciate it

Ashley Wood has some cool Mech art that has a similar kind of vibe to your sketches, maybe check his art out. You can also check out the Russian Cold war tech to help use as reference that will help with your mechs on look and how they can move.

So i just read the very tragic story of Czar Nicholas II and his Family on how and why they got murderd because i had this idea to portrait a fictional daughter who survived (not Anastasia) and is a talented architect and always been interested in mechanical things and builds a mech by the technology at that Time so a little steampunk and medieval influences. This is my characters little origin story

So i worked on some sketches of her bc mechs are definitely not my comfort zone Not sure about the dress maybe shorter? And for the exoskeleton with wich she will pilot her mech il make it more jewellery and less armor what do you think is best?
