In this art journey, I think it's important to remember it should be mostly about “enjoyment”, regardless of “rate of progress”.
There is also something to be said about progress not being linear. By this point I’ve almost finished all of the anatomy topics, I know the muscles, at least on a technical level, but there’s so much I keep forgetting where they connect and go, which is frustrating, but just means I need to practice it more. Still, even with all these mistakes, if I compare some stuff from before anatomy terms and after, there is definitely a net positive, even with all the mistakes that continue to happen.
Heck, at some point I literally burned some works I did because they were absolute crap (when I was much younger). I now regret doing that so much.
Just by going through your insta, it’s clear you’ve progressed through the years, and regardless of the rate of progress, just going through your works is a lot of fun. I 100% guarantee you will look back fondly at some of the works you do today, regardless of their completion, and regardless of the technical level.
On a different topic, I kinda skimmed through it, but isn't a "diagonal vanishing point" just a normal 3rd point? Probably missing something, might have to reread it.
