Not a homework per se, but after Term 4, I felt the urge to redesign this book cover. Still not 100% happy with it, but I do like it a lot better than the previous one...

OOH I LOVE this redesign!

I reallly like your use of color in the redesign and the monochrome parts give it an ominous vibe!

its so much more impactful than the before! amazing job!

I like your cover redesign! It feels more complete, and that wood texture is sick.
Oh jeeze, I just read earlier today that rendering and rigging hands his one of the hardest things to do in 3D. That hand looks great! Are you rigging it as well?

Thanks so much, Grant! :blush: I'm trying to up my 3D-game fast, which is why I jumped straight into modelling hands :sweat_smile: next up is a gothic cathedral and let me tell you, I'd rather model ten more hands! I'm quite tempted to look into rigging, not going to lie. I think it's a great skill to have! At this point in my life, if I can get ANY creative/artsy job, I'll be happy...

Annnnd, here's the first fruit of my creature assignment. I know I should have practiced drawing animals from imagination first but please accept the excuse I insert here, you know...? :sweat_smile:
I might have played it a tad too safe with the kangaroo/bunny hibrid BUT I do promise to go all out with the alien creature. Muhahaha, nightmares shall ensue! I hope.

HAHA at first, since the pouch wasn't sticking out too much, I thought the baby was its second head and was like omg thats scary XDDDD LMAO can't wait to see what else u come up with :smiley:

Thanks Mitsuki! You're right; today I see the creature with fresh eyes and I definitely need to make the pouch bigger. Also, the back looks broken, so I ought to elongate that as well. Thanks again and have a good one xD

Nice big cat! I was trying to doodle some the other day and I can already tell its going to take me a lot of practice to get the forms right. Those kitties aren't easy haha.

Something that's been helping me immensely is trying to build forms out of basic shapes. Your chimera looks great. I think some of the forms get a bit lost though. I hope you don't mind but I did a little paint over to show you what I'm talking about. :grinning:

Making a separate layer for volume lines keeps me from taking guesses when I get to the shading stage (which I am prone to do)
