Totally! I can tell you have a really good structure for reference gathering. Are you writing a brief then gathering refs and assets before starting on a character design?

It depends. I'll write a brief for myself when I feel I need to organize the plan/idea better. If its simple or something i'm kinda comfortable with, I can search out refs first or draw something then get reference images(which I like more sometime as to not limit myself to early)
All these characters share a similar staring point of having to wear street clothing. Somewhat hiphop urban vibe. Being able to fight in these clothes is a plus. More on this with more characters. Probably other things I could go into, but, some are project specific and I don't wanna bore with an essay. Maybe a future video if I don't get lazy.

Nice yeah a list or bief can help keep things on track but limiting early on. Thats rad I'm totally getting fighting game vibes from these characters with out knowing too much about the project. I hear yah tho its hard to explain this super project dependant stuff with out drawing out an actual decision tree haha

Some more details I would like to add to make this more interesting because now honestly, she kinda has a npc feel more than a main character feel. Probably going to add more branding to clothing to solidify the urban feel more.

I'll take any cool name ideas.

Thank you for the feedback. I was thinking of giving her tattoos as well. Probably on one of her arms. I'm going to try a full sleeve and a half sleeve and see how that works out better.

This page needs more edits but here is the design along with a p2(player 2) design on the side. She needs a 3rd outfit to complete the design. Not sure what to do at the moment.

EDIT: I'll separate the poses and expressions actually. I have other expressions I didn't post here. I'll also have another page for here outfits. Maybe the 3rd can be more mma like to contrast the casual look and main look.
