I spend more time drawing traditionally than digitally and often when I do work on digital, I take breaks in between long enough that I end up forgetting the digital process. I'm incredibly slow when working digitally (this again can be attributed to the fact there's a lot of time in between each digital work) and that is what I'm trying to fix by rendering the sketches I did in June as part of Noah Bradley's JuneStudyJam challenge. I struggled quite a lot with the nose, maybe because it has so many planes, the nose originally in the reference was not as round, but very angular, but it never looked right when I tried to render. I wasn't focus on recreating the reference but more so on the value relationships when rendering. You can follow more of my work on my art blog.
