Hi, I'm Hugo
Take your problems one by one and destroy them 🙂
Be happy and give love around you!
Hello everyone !!
My name is Hugo, I am 23 years old and I am passionate about fictional universes !
Drawing, painting and sculpting have become essential passions in my life !
I currently work as a 3D Modeler in the movie industry, and on my free time I chase a more “creative” path in visual development (concept-art, illustration, ...)
First of all, I was reluctant to share my vision of things due to my little experience and therefore the idea of legitimacy to give advice.
Then I realized that it is essential in our discipline, the creation, where we are brought to share our creations on a daily basis, and so to be vulnerable, to have people who freely share their experience.
It creates a lot of good, reassures and motivates, to understand that we are not alone in living this creative experience, struggling, doubting, lacking self-confidence, not knowing where to start etc.
And it does even more good, to hear and read the solutions to these problems that these people have put in place 🙂
I wish to share with you a first sample of PERSONAL answers to these questions in the form of a “guide”.
Before starting any goal, I recommend putting order in your life, or keeping it this way.It is not a passive approach ! It sometimes requires a lot of energy, but you will save much more in the future!
I start, by ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:
Health is the main pillar in any of your life goals.
If it collapses, it's over, you can say goodbye to your dreams.
I do not include dramatic events that you cannot control in your life.
A healthy lifestyle will contribute to your success in each goal that you set for yourself.
Regular workout, healthy food and good sleep are fundamental.
The environment in which you live on a daily basis has a direct impact on you.
It is extremely important to surround yourself with healthy people who have a positive impact on your life and to distance yourself from the people who are pulling you down.
Be aware of the sources of distraction that keep you away from your goals and take measures to limit them.
In my case, it was an excess of Video Games and too much time spent on social networks.
If you are reading this, it means you’ve already got this massive bonus in life, and so you know how necessary it is
STATE OF MIND
Adopting a good mindset is essential to progress in any discipline. It's about being in a mood adapted to learning.
Be clear and lucid about your goals, don’t keep the problems in the back of your brain.
I recommend this personal development book, Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable by Tim S. Grover
That will make you realize several important things, such as the benefits of pragmatism and rigor with yourself.
Self discipline is key !
It is important to relax from time to time to don’t overdose and have to repair damages due to overwork (physical and mental).
JEALOUSY, FEELING BAD
It is a widespread problem, we all have to deal with it at some point !
I recommend not spending too much time scrolling on social networks which are, in my opinion, the main cause of these problems (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Artstation, DeviantArt ...)
This modern system of likes is a TOXIC system based on appearance, speed, buzz, etc.
Instead, use your time to cultivate your eye. Go for a walk, go to the museum, learn about art, or even just get bored a bit !
After several days away from these networks you will feel better.
I myself felt very bad 2 years ago and made a total break with these networks, which cured me 🙂
I return now regularly but in small doses and knowing the dangers.
That’s it for the prerequisites to work on a daily basis.

KEEP THE PASSION
Keeping the original passion that drove us to do what we love today is essential. Maintain it, develop it !
Envy is something organic that needs to be worked on.
If you remain passive towards it, for sure the flame will go out.
Likewise, don't overdo it, don't get disgusted.
No extreme is good in life 🙂
Do not be afraid to experience new things. To go off the paths already marked out. Trust yourself. Each person is unique and has their own wealth to bring to the world.
DON'T FEAR THE FAILUREOn the contrary, it is ESSENTIAL to make mistakes in order to learn from them and then succeed. So get started !
Struggle is part of the game, take pleasurein this adventure. Once you reach your goal, you will want more, always more, it's endless. I can guarantee that, I think it's in our human nature.
It is not a question of winning… But to love it !! The craft, the small rewards of your hard daily work ! And with time the big rewards !
Keep your goals simple. If you encounter a problem that seems too complicated to overcome, divide it into more simple problems. Do not give up.
Your hard work and your resilience will make you succeed.
Do not hesitate to share your experience. Don't be afraid to open up your arms to others
and take an interest in them ! Don't keep your knowledge to yourself.
Life is not a competition (or else you will live unhappy).
There truly is happiness in helping somebody.
Keep in mind that life is an eternal and infinite learning, and that ... is beautiful !
I hope this quick and sometimes rude summary will help some of you to progress and overcome your problems.
Do not hesitate to give me feedbacks even if your opinion is different, it will be my pleasure. I just won't read it. (I'm kidding of course) Nevertheless be constructive in your words.
Create well ! Stay happy ! (most important after all)
Forgive me the turns of strange sentences and the lack of vocabulary, it is the first time that I try this exercise 🙂
PS: I recommend this book Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl which will allow you to put things into perspective in your life (and that for a long time). To me, it resonate everyday.
