Regardless good job on this. You really bring the focus to the face in the final. Everything around it doesn't matter as much. The ship is decent but gets the job done. lovely colors and I like the way you did the hair. Hair is something I need to work on.

Anyway keep up the good work as usual.

Jeah, a placement of the spaceship is a little bit strange, but overall the look and feel of the illustration is really intimate. I feel that there is a story behind that girl, and her eyes...
And super highlights! : )

Here is a wip from another cover. i thought I should follow some progress on this one. Its short of a futuristic knight so it falls more on the sci-fi side. Critique is welcome!!

Oooh. Really loving the strong focal point! I'd just say to keep building elements that help support/guide the eye! Love it <3

This looks like it'll be something really badass when finished. I mean it looks cool already. Great start. If I can recommend somethings, they would be to add the cross shape that's on her shoulder pad(pauldrons) in another area like the chest(or at least test it) She already has some kind of really cool chain sword which I like a lot.. Maybe try playing with a scifi version of the gauntlets that have pipes and wires coming out of them which connect to the weapon to power it on. Little highlighs with glow always help with scifi stuff. Last thing I recommend is playing with materials. Things like honeycomb, latex and matte materials. For the arm for instance, it can be a matte material maybe. Anyway these are just some ideas. Color wise this is looking great. Love her face and hair. Like @ESL said, just add elements that help the focal point. I think the silhouette is good and you have some nice shapes. Keep up the good work. Look forward to further updates.

Your art is beautiful... I especially love your sketches! They're so loose and full of life!

Oo! Thank you guys!!
@malcom I definitely need to play with the materials on this one..it has to feel shap and edgy..

here is progress

Sharp and edgy say no more. So I would recommend playing with the facial expression unless in your brief you can't. When I think of an edgy character I think of an more serious/angry expression or even a cocky like expression. Anyway so far so good. :+1: I like the exosuit that she has under her armor. At least for her arm.

She's finished finally.. I ve never done a full body armor and it was hard getting the anatomy right but I am always happy doing something new

Amazing, especially the face!!
I do feel bad for anyone who would try to move in a metal corset so tight though

@Acolet Thank you! well who needs practical clothes anyway:p
@FITZFACTOR thank you! the brief wanted a heavy armored knight in a futuristic chinatown. pretty hard to find reference indeed^^

That man-against-the wall pic is great, I like it a lot

Yeh figure drawing takes time. I'm sure you'll get faster at it the more you know the proportions and shapes to look out for, but I'm at the same place you're at. 10 minutes still feels like rushing it to completion. Keep at it

the pink haired one is great! Nice pose and mood with it

Looking at that latest red-haired character, I must say that I'm really amazed at how you manage to make those rough and almost messy looking paintings look so good. It just blows my mind XD

really fresh brushstrokes, they make the difference sometimes

wow thank you guys^^ im trying to focus on shapes more
