Thanks @gregorya !. I may spend too much time trying to capture the pose before adding details. When I think I capture the pose, some times I focus too much in a single part of the body and because of that, I screw up the proportions of the entire body .

I hope after doing the living room, I spend less time to draw an environment

I have heard of others having similar issues with the profile picture not updating. I think it might be worth trying the usual recommendations:
1) Might take up to 24 hours to update.
2) Try clearing cache or opening in another browser to try to force it to update.
3) Maybe resolution/type affects it? The one I use is 1024x874, PNG format., 82kb. Maybe try to use that format and see if it helps?

Thank you!. I tried your recommendations; Now, i'll wait 24 hrs

23 days later

Hello Everyone!! I had a couple of hard weeks in my workplace ( a project and team switch in my job) :disappointed_relieved: but I'm keep on going donig my best to keep improving : ).

TERM 1
Week 7 and 8 Perspective

I finally finished the assignments for the last week in the first term. Apart of my situtations, honestly, it was challenging for me to finish the 2 point vanishing point perspective assignment; despite of that I decided to continue the 30 days challenge from Marc's channel; It helped me to keep my skills.

Feelings:

  • In the assignment, I maybe chose a building a bit hard to draw for my current skills, but at the end, It helped me to understand and improve some skills that I guess I had to learn.
  • I was starting to get a little bored because I was spending more time in the environment study assignment than drawing characters (apparently I like character drawing more  ) .
  • Despite I continued doing the 2 minutes gesture drawing for all these days, honestly I don't feel the improvement in my observation skills (on capturing the rythm); I may be study better the way I do this exercise.

  • Despite I like Dragon Ball so much and Akira toriyama's style, this is the first time I draw Goku

Still pending some term 1 assignments that I want to finish (like environments and characters studies) but I think I will move forward to the next term and keep advancing.

Gesture drawing (2min) exercise this week.

30 days challenge excercises

Perspective assignment - Street corner Buidling - Pavon Theatre - Madrid, Spain

Character study

At the end I was not able to change my photo profile : /. I maybe have to resign myself to be the orange square : (

Hope you are all good!. Thank you !!

Maybe the pic u used was too big?

Nice studies btw!

It's all good practice. I think the building looks great. I think our adverse with environments just has to do with not being used to it. I've found that as I do more of them, it becomes more fun and interesting to do them. Though I also still have a preference for characters.

Goku is spot on! I love Akira's style.

At least it's a sexy orange square!

Yes, I think your are right;, the more you do the better you get. I've never drawn a building this way, using two vanihisng points; I'll try more environment pictures to study and improve : ).

Drawing Goku was fun, Maybe I'll try another DBZ character .
Thank you !!

It sounds better like this

Nice work on the gesture drawings. They look pretty good. The 30-day challenge exercises have some pretty interesting shapes. I like the line work on the perspective street assignment. The Goku study is pretty good.

16 days later

Opening Term 2 with new stuff to learn; I'm keeping on going doing my best to improve my skills.

TERM 2
Week 1 and a half Photoshop and Self portrait

These two weeks I tried to mix excercises from the first and the second week, but I was able to finish only the assignments for the first one (The ones related with photoshop for production); I also keep doing some pen control excercises especially with circles.

Feelings:

  • I felt relieved on changing the kind of exercises these days. By doing the Photoshop assignments I did some review of graphic design fundamentals and some Photoshop tools I hadn't used for a while. It is important to keep in mind the basics. I felt a little rusty designing a cover again.
  • To keep my routine to improve my pen control and abstraction skills, I took volumes excercises recommended by Marc on week two. These kind of shapes get less harder to do each time.
  • I felt strange drawing me myself watching in the mirror; It's the first time I did so. It was interesting and challenging.
  • I tried to finish a character and an environment study, but are still work in progress; I'll share the studies later.

I found challenging sometimes to keep motivated on falling in a routine of exercises. I see that It's important to change from time to time the routine and improvise some days.

** Self portrait  **

Hope you are all good !!. Thank you!!!

That box looks really pro! Not sure how you managed to stay still to make that drawing, when I did that exercice I just took a photo. Looks good though! Seems you are getting good practice with the overall digital tools.

Thank you  @daceronine , I had a good time remembering how to use digital tools. For self-portrait, I moved a big mirror at home and put it next to my laptop and tried to keep the same position (drawing position was the most confortable  ); anyway, It felt strange, I never tried it before.

Nice robot character. It looks pretty good on the game box. Nice work on the self-portrait.

1 month later

Hello again everyone!. Long second week for me that seemed a month  but still keep on going for sure.

TERM 2
Week 2 Anatomy 1 and Photoshop

Last weeks I focused so much on practicing volumes and tried to get familiar with face structure that Marc explained on the video class.

Feelings:

  • For me is hard accomplish the assignments and It's becoming easier to get stuck because of that, maybe I should pay more attention to my weekly practice.
  • Practicing volumes and overlapping helps a lot to improve your skills.
  • It's fun to draw faces but I'm getting used to making sketches without finalizing linearts; I guess I should solve this.
  • In transition exercises I found the three tools useful (smudge, soft and hard brush) so I guess I should practice with the three of them in my drawings. For me It's easier to use the soft brush but I guess that it depends of the case.
  • I keep doing character studies. I'll try to keep on doing this

Some faces with lineart

Artist: Artgerm - Character Study

Hope you are all OK!!. Enjoy this summer ! Thank you!!!

Wow, you are doing great! That's a very beautiful self-portrait you made there!
and I really like your lineart overall, seems you make very precise strokes and good, purposeful use of line weight, it makes your character studies and volume practice pleasing to look at.

I did notice you bend your distal interfalangeal joints when holding your stylus (based on what I see on your self-portrat XD - it just makes me wonder if you're not clenching it too hard, I mean, your line work is really nice so it must work well for you, but just be careful not to injure yourself from repetitive hand stress motions

cheers!
