Hello, my screen name at least is AnonV3RG3 and I don't know if I have the guts to use my real name, but for now I'd rather be honest. I've never really taken my art skills seriously but did sketch every now and then, but would quickly get discouraged because of the lack of quality, but after some serious life events happening I decided I would try to take this more seriously.

My end goal with all of this is to create a few comics, maybe about 5 with the last one being the only long form and serious one but my lack of art skills continues to discourage making it, so I decided to start this art program instead.

I started it back in May and either due to laziness or confusion I haven't posted anything for criticism even though I know it's necessary to grow faster. I thought that I had finished the first term and had already moved onto the next but after re evaluating my old studies (which I'll post here or somewhere in the critique board), I think I'll revisit the 1st term again, this time being more engaging with the community.

And in the name of honesty I should also mention that this sudden change in disposition comes from the feelings of burnout, the isolation, repitition, and general lack of feeling in what I'm doing is starting to put a toll on my motivations, so I hope some interaction may be able to remedy that.

I'll end this post with a simple question though: how do I access the term channels on the discord servers? I can only view the guidelines, announcements, roles, and welcome channel.

Below I'll post some personal art made before and during the first term as a well as a few studies for criticism, but I can't post all my studies as some were lost when I transfered over to using the desktop version of Photoshop from the Ipad version by changing accounts

Regardless thank you for your time and hopefully I can improve to meet the standards I know I'm capable of.

Hey ! You've got already a good level and i'm impressed by your work in such short times !

I can understand the feeling of burning out and absence of motivation but i'm sure if you take your time, you'll work your way trought you've got great potential and i cant wait to see your improvement and posts !

Welcome to the forums! I really like your Invader Zim piece!

So I think I'm going to make a habit of posting my studies for the previous week each sunday, or at least a portion of them so as to not spam repetitive stuff. This is most of what I've done for academic studies and would like some feedback if at all possible. If you're reading this then = have a nice day and thanks for checking up.

These are some of the things that I've practiced over the last week, but like last time not all, feedback would be appreciated and I think I'm at or near the point where I really should move onto term 2. Last time I started term 2 I really only skimmed term 1 and skipped figure drawing mostly and didn't consider the reason gesture drawing was done at all and instead blindly drew without consideration. That's obviously changed now and I'm taking some advice from some of the people on the discord saying that future terms add onto term 1 and let's be honest, I'll still be figure drawing and gesture drawing for years to come. As of now I am confident in my ability to draw basic shapes and understand the base human proportions and feel that I do need to start practicing drawing faces better while also working on my shade work. So I'll start throwing in portrait studies into the mix to address two of those weaknesses starting this week. Thanks for reading if you put in the effort to and expect some interesting things in the future.
