I did a rough drawover. I think drawing a box or even making a quick 3 point perspective grid would help a lot. Mine isn't perfect, but, my intention is that you get a better idea on how to improve it. Things like finding the half way point of the body by finding the half way point of the box/rectangle your character will be in. You did a good job for the most part. Just some minor tweaks needed.

These are great! Also, I need to hurry up .

QUICKS QUESTION: Do you guys need more time?

Anywhooo...............We're making progress some what. Refined the design some more/changed a lot. I think I can finish in time.

I'm probably going to need a little more time, but I didn't manage my time as well as I should have (I forgot about work ), so I don't know if the deadline should be adjusted because of that.

Your character is looking good, by the way!

@ZekeDraws I don't mind extended it an extra day. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the deadline extension. Here is a quick preview of my last pose that need to be cleaned and completed (4 of them already done, they just need flat colors now).

No problem. Best luck on finishing. Guessing your character is some kind of demon soldier?

I too am grateful for the extension; just one and a half poses left.

Exactly.
However, despite the deadline extension, I miscalculated the necessary time to complete a pose with colors and corrections, so one of my pose is lineart only.
I note it on the side for the next time.

No worries. Glad you still posted regardless. To reflect, I think this challenge was hard due to the 5 colored pose requirement. Just line art would have been easier or to have less poses.
On one side, time management is a good skill to train, but, at the same time I don't know if having challenges like this is too MUCH if you know what I mean.

At the end of the day, my goal was for artist to take steps towards getting better at posing characters and I feel that it did work. Seeing what everyone has done over the month has been amazing to see. I felt I improved a lot this month as well.

So maybe will try this again in the future, but maybe with a few changes.

I would love to hear everyone's feedback for this monthly event.
Did you find it fun?
Did you feel that the topics per week helped you level up throughout the month?
How was the overall difficulty? Easy mode, Normal, Hard, Dark Souls or 90s video game BS
What would you like to see in the future?
What would you improve?
Would you do it again?
Anything else that you can think of post it. I would love to hear everyone's feedback so we can make these even better.

I managed to join only one challenge but I enjoyed it. And it motivated me to do gesture drawing for a week which was helpful

I would love to participate in the next event. Need to work on time management

Optional themes with the main theme would be interesting. For example making poses for super hero, fighter or water based character. Think of it like smaller challenge inside of challenge.

That's a good idea. We'll try that out one of these days.

I enjoyed the challenges very much and I do think that they helped me to improve. The only issue I had was that I was in crunch mode for most of the final challenge. I'm sure the problem was that I didn't budget my time well, due to my inexperience; I'm accustomed to working at a more leisurely pace, but pushing yourself to get faster is also a form of improvement, so it will probably be worth it in the end.
I would definitely do these sorts of challenges again; I especially liked the ones geared more toward character design.

Thank you for the feedback. I also do believe deadlines help. Hitting the goal in time is a worth while experience to gain.

I'm a big fan of character design so doing more of those will be fun. I would like to do Environments but I don't know how well those will do.
