The only other thing i can think of that might work is If you have the install CD, (Do cintiqs even have those?) and you re-install the tablet all together. I can't remember if that requires internet, but if it doesn't then you should just have the default driver. Although a bug fix should come out if enough people have the same problem.
That's about as much troubleshooting I can do though After all my idea of a "Fix" is covering my computer in duct tape and praying. I'll let the people who know Cintiqs do the talking from here out. Best of luck though! I hope it gets fixed. : o

I don't use a cintiq, but whenever I have problems on my tablet, REMOVING (INSTEAD OF RESTORE) "my preferences" AND "all user preferences" fixes everything.

Assuming from what you've said about how you'd rather not have to restore every 20 seconds, maybe the problem keeps coming back because you haven't REMOVED my preferences and all user preferences?

Also it's important where you're installing your drivers to. If you have 2 different Disks (for example an SSD as a boot disk, and an HD for stroage) you need to make sure your driver is installed to the main disk (where your windows is installed on). I remember wacom driver doesn't ask you WHERE you want everything to be installed, so it automatically installs to the directed disk (which you can change, though I don't remember 100% on how to do that, you can google this).

So I would suggest:
1. REMOVING all preferences
2. UNINSTALLING all wacom drivers (try to get rid of the extra folders created in the program files too)
3. INSTALLING the latest driver to your MAIN DISK WHERE WINDOWS IS INSTALLED ON
4. TRY GOOGLING if other cintiq 22HD users are having the same problem with the latest driver update

Hrm, do you have a gen1 cintiq like I do? I backed up a version of an older driver which works for me still. If this is the case, I will look up the version number when I get back home this weekend. Hang tight and keep going

Also, thanks to everyone else who commented with advice on how to fix my cintiq problem, I appreciate that you guys took the time to help. I haven't been home these past weeks, so I'm not certain about any fixes or anything like that, but wacom did update their drivers again, so I'm hopeful. I also think a new laptop purchase is in the near future, so if it's a hard drive problem then that may also solve it. We'll see!
