Below you can see my take on the task.
I decided to twist an idea of an "epic character" by creating someone, who is the mastermind behind all. The character that leads united fantasy forces, whilst not being able to take part in fights physically.
I also created the whole context of the race and how it was created, because I think a little backstory helps to get across the right message.
I am very eager to hear your feedback!
Race context:
- result of experiments that Elves started to create an upgraded race within theirs
- they experimented only on characters with the most developed telepathic skills
- goal was to create characters with so well developed telepathy, intelligence and strategic thinking that they could use as leaders in the forthcoming war
- subjects agreed to be used in tests, because the public good is more important in their society than individual weal.
Race description:
- they grow very quickly and they can reproduce only for 1 year
- after this year they come of age and start the long process of being adult
- thanks to this they are very rational and they do not seek any kind of emotional attachments
- as a result of tests/ evolution they lose human traits and become very fragile
- thin, transparent skin
- vision is impaired, ears are reduced
- at the beginning of the tests, researchers cut out a couple of essential nerves outside of their body, because it increases their telepathy and simultaneous skills. with time, they overgrow with some kind of skin
- they connect to the minds of every Elf and they deduce and send out relevant and on point strategic communicates
