Character Backstory:
In Sumerian script, there is the tales of Kur, the place where one goes after their life on earth has ended. But this path to enlightenment cannot be obtained by all and thus is guarded by Erishkigal, The GateKeeper. He is the only one who is able to allow entry into Kur if one proves themselves worthy of allowing their soul to live on. If one does not prove worthy however, Erishkigal is able to open the door to an eternal prison for damned souls so they may never experience any enlightenment for eternity.
Erishkigal is a title earned and not gained by soldiers or other beings who prove themselves to be able to take on the title and are trusted to guard the door. The Door is carried by Erishigal both as their duty and their prison.It is both a blessing and a curse as who ever holds the title holds it until they are brought down by an other.
Here is the start of my piece. hope to have a lot of fun with this one, but I feel I want to do a second run of silouettes. any feed back will be greatly appreciated.
