Okay so when I saw this ART WAR I just had to go with fantasy 'cos fantasy is dope.
all I knew when I started is that I wanted a female in either; heavy armour, as a mage or as some elf sorta thingy.
my first post is simply going to be my initial exploration of the character, silhouettes and iteration of those silhouettes.
(please forgive the quality of these first few images as they're really rough, I'll refine later)
When doing the silhouettes I wanted a wide range of designs ( obviously) and plan on iterating each silhouette shown.

In the second set of characters the asymmetric large shapes were quite challenging to design around and tried toying with the idea of bark Armour almost growing on the wearer (which is something I've seen before by an awesome artist but don't have the particular image to hand currently) and tried to make it my own
The "dagger lady" silhouette as me and a friend like to call her was basically a dead end, I couldn't seem to make it work simply because I think I'd given the initial design to much random detail and thus only gave it 3 iterations and have left it to for the trash can.
So far I've only iterated on 3 and will do the others soon, there are a few already I quite like but I'll keep them in mind as I explore my other options. The key thing for me is to have quite an eye catching, interesting design (obviously)
