Feral is a shaman without a tribe. In the days of old she had wandered, fought, always looking for fight, but because of it, made a big mistake. On the top of the Carnage Mountains, in an epic fight, she has killed the forest’s evil spirit, a true, and old, very powerful skinwalker.
Before he died, the skinwalker had killed everyone who try to pass the borders across the mountains, indiscriminately, the good ones and the bad ones also. And hold back some even more evil than himself.
After the skinwalkers death - Feral has built a totem from his body, which was stuck in a shape shifting state, - the roads become free.

Looks like a nice first try to me. Those cute ears in her hood kinda get me. It's a little difficult to see them at first glance though.

Wow, thank you for the first comment! I'm really happy for it. : )
I'm still working on her outfit, try to figure out something what can represent her personalty and abilities.
And of course keep the "hidden" puppy ears, the cute factor is important : )

Feral's final costume, (but i'm still working on it), and at the same time the front design for the character sheet.
The sámi art tattoos still coming with the costume's back, and some accessories, like a shaman drum.

I've got some faint hope to finish this contest, side by side with an another big project : )

The character sheet in the current state.

I feel the background is too dark... Maybe i'll change it later... And she got the tattoos! Really like two of them, the sun and moon symbols above the crook of the arms.

The strange parts in her hands and feet: she endured several injuries during the fight with the skinwalker. Her whole body was damaged, but was able to heal herself. Just keep those part in that way for a memento...

Finally, i'm start working on the illustration too! And i'm so happy with the fist outcomes.

Just a little bit confused regarding the choice...
A) version with the pale monster and a grim night sky, or
B) with a bone white tree and a pitch black monster?
If i think the white insects, those are much more disgusting, than the black ones, but overall all the albino creatures, monsters, etc...

Originally i wanted a coloured illustration, but in this stage i think this will be a blackandwhite. Or just add some monochromic colours at the end.

Finally, i'm done!
Of course not the best outcome, but i really enjoyed the whole process beside the daily rush. This was a great experience: the theme selection, figure out the character's background, the story, and every single details.

Unfortunately i couldn't finish the shaman drum, my biggest pain point...

But i'm really proud of the illustration. In the first sketches this looked like totally different: horizontal, daylight, dead monster, and peacefully reading shaman in a green field. And things just happened
I feel like e little bit static the whole composition, but love the atmosphere, the magic, and the shape shifting monster. And the shaman also
