Hi there!
Finally I can enter Art War with my Champion "Galaxy" for Team Fantasy.

What's the idea behind this? Well, I've been thinking a lot about an outstanding character for this contest before entering...A character that's really epic! A few weeks ago then I was asked to do some planet doodles for a client. I'm so amazed by what's outside of the earth and how much unknown is out there and hopefully will be discovered during our lifetime. The universe is so beautiful and (that's what I connected with Art War) powerful! The slightest dysbalance can change so much and it's such a wonder how everything fits just perfect for earth and we are able to life here. Then there are those incredible planets out there which we can't even imagne in size like Jupiter in our Galaxy. When I drew those doodles for the client I decided to make my champion an interpretation of a planet. Now that I finally could take the time to sketch for my entry I drew one rough humanization for each planet (and sun, moon).

When I had eleven designs I really wanted to add one to reach twelve and that was when I though of: Galaxy! Of course!

I mean who would win Art War if not the almighty Galaxy? And my design of her (long dress, hair, sparkeling stars that I will add) fit totally with what is my thing as an artist and what I love to draw most.

So I picked her out of my designs and drew a rough sketch for my final illustration. I want my champion to be beautiful, elegant and powerful. She might differ from other entries that look more like actual warriors but I hope that way she'll stand out in a positive way.
The light above her head is going to be to be the sun and the nine planets, the things that she's in control of so to say.

I can't wait to finish this!

The concept is interesting, I like the fancy lady instead of just a fighter. Can I suggest that maybe she could have a few more dots in her dress in a more uneven way, just to represent the night sky, or maybe a spiral, like the milky way (pic related), just to make her symbolism more evident http://www.universetoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/milky_way.jpg

Awesome pose! This would work great in a strong Alphonse Mucha inspired style, really interested to see how you render this!

I'm glad you like how my idea for this is a little different. Your suggestion is great and I think I did add what you mean (I already finished, couldn't stop drawing! :D)

Hey thank you!
I looove that style and indeed that's the kind of style I wanted to use in the beginning.
Maybe you saw that art noveau inspiration in my sketches?
When I had my flats I decided to go with a more cellshading style, combining it with a lot of lights and bright colors. That way I could give more "glow" to her.

I'm very happy this idea came to me for the contest and that my "warrior" represents me as an artist so well! Even though this is finished (once I'm in the flow I just can't stop...I'm sure you can relate to this? ;D) feel free to post some feedback! I'm very sure this could be improved.

Also I'm happy about (most of) the designs I didn't use and I want to make an art series with them. Do you have any suggestions how they would resemble the planets even better? In terms of costumes, colors, character...
