Hi there, I'm Magno. Started to sketch this champion, her name is Hester. More of her backstory coming soon!

Hi there! Really loving her design - you should keep at it! Very nice work and detailing!

However, I feel like the pose is a bit stiff. Maybe it's just me.
Is she swinging the blade there, or just holding it up? The lines around the blade suggest there is movement but the rest of her body says "I'm standing still." In the first case, I'd suggest maybe giving a bit more movement to her lower body. A wider stance, perhaps, to balance the upper body movement!

Hello! Thanks for the feedback. This is just the base sketch, just to figure out the elements that I want in the character. Going towards the concept, I will add more of her personality into the table. Same goes to the poses, which will be my focus on the final illustration. Cheers!

Quick portrait sketch, to figure out her facial features. She will have these tribal scars dots on her face, part of her lore.

She was part of a ancient barbarian tribe before the Capitol banished the old gods from the reign. Her village was destroyed, women and children got spared but only to be brainwashed, living in poverty and ruled by the holy emperor.

I like the oriental feel of the armor. The headshot makes her intereting, she seems to have lived tons of experiences ! I'd love to learn more about her back story ~
