The general idea for my champion is a lightning fisher, and exist in a world where people live in sky cities/citadels and those are powered by lightning. There also happen to live monsters among the clouds that make the job much more dangerous and exciting! That is my initial idea so far

That's a cool idea for the world that the fisher lives in. I'm thinking of some really fun aerial combat scenes with the cloud monsters. I prefer the first sketch more. The gas mask looks fantastic, and coupled with the fishing hat is really appealing. Good stuff!
Another unique idea! I like the concept of lightnigh fishing thats pretty frikin interesting, imagining the illsutration is giving me goosebumps! Great work!

I'm currently trying to work out the mask for my champion. It serves to protect them from both the deafening sound and blinding light that comes from lightning. It also provide them with oxygen.
Very cool.. I personally like the middle design for his mask
I get kind of a fallout feel on this design due to the way the mask looks.

This is a very interesting idea! The sketches so far are awesome! May I make a little suggestion for the masks? (I actually like all of them) Maybe you can try to add some "emotion" to them? We can't see the face of the guy, so it'll be pretty important to have the mask recognisable as a human being (unless you don't want that, of course).
There are two masks in the middle row.. I'm talking about the one on the right, the one next to the zoomed in eye piece:)
Thank you Yeah, I'm still working on the design for the mask and I agree, emotion is the key. So if the mask doesn't work, I need to figure out something else that can give this character personality. Thanks for the input
Developing my champion a bit more I feel like the mask in this image is closer to what I'm going for, and I will take that idea and add visors. You can't fish lightning if you blinded all the time by the light.
