I am so excited about this contest, i have been planning out some rough designs of my hero Maiya. She lives in an ancient city where she and only a few others have the power to summon creatures from ancient magic kept in runes. She also has a rune sword or staff (havent decided yet). She has the ability to summon all kinds of different creatures and elementals. She is learning and discovering her abilities and just how powerful she truly is. Maiya is her cities only hope to fight the darkness that threatens their home. Any critiques/comments/suggestions would be wonderful!

As feedback, I'd recommend looking at the proportions with the head and body, the heads seem abnormally big!

I have been playing around with more character designs. Please let me know which ones you like, or what direction is strongest. I have been looking at african/persian/greek cultures. Its been a lot of fun!
