Initially, I felt discouraged from entering this contest after I saw an entry that looked absolutely phenomenal that it's gauranteed first place. But shortly after I found myself becoming inspired by it and the artist behind it derserves to have first place because of all the hard work he/she put into it. So now I'm here to show off my entry, Mantys Wildefyre, an original character from a personal project of mine who deserves a long overdue redesign.
I decided to go with C. since it looked the best. I like to use colour with my sketches and to keep them as simple as possible so that I'm not bogged down with details. I save those for a later process.
Right now I'm in the middle of sketching the front/back of this character and adding more details to his attire both from imagination and with the aid of references.
