Maybe you need to balance the colors i guess ... pick a dominating color and then work around it...

I did a quick color balance change, so yeah the warm's on the left and cool's on the right. What do you think?

I think you can push the illustration a bit more with better contrast to the background and some little corrections on the anatomy (I always have to fight with this one too )
