Cool idea and nice thumbs! Maybe another interesting angle would be from the arrow's point of view, just before the robot catches it? Like if a GoPro was strapped on just in front of the feathers (or the fletching, whatever it's called), so you can still see the front of the character, plus the arrowhead and part of the shaft toward the bottom of the composition. I hope that makes sense, lol Keep up the good work!

I like the first one, maybe you could try that one but with a view from the opposite front angle, from the side of the grabbing arm. Also I'm noticing he's grabbing the arrow with the same arm in every thumb, you could try with the other. I'm picturing that first thumb with the opposite front angle and the other arm, also if he could be getting into the scene more dynamically, as if he were sliding in, it would give it more tension. Just my suggestion, hope it helps. Good luck!

Eyyy berrysquare liking the design very different than a lot of stuff on here. By any chance have you seen some of the robots by Simon Stalenhag? Not saying you should paint like him but you might draw some inspiration

Finally I wrote down the idea behind my character. That should explain most of my design choises and the idea behind the illustration. Many of you have given some great feedback, but I guess it was a bit hard when not knowing the though I had behind it. Thank you so much guys for the support!

Updated and corrected my mistakes on the backstory.

Some new experiments with angles.

Illustration progress so far. Because I am really slow at drawing full illustrations, I had to make a quick decision, and I decided for this composition. Don´t know if it is good enough, but I am running out of time. Hope you like it and feedback still welcome!

ahhh, the fox is going to be the death of me. It is really hard to make him look scared without making it looks unnatural I think I need to make it more cartuny also...

Here, couldn't find any photo for reference so doodled this, hope it helps picture it better:

This is how i imagined, any of the two, the idea for the first is to jump sideways, for the other is to curve his back like a cat, and lower the head scared, hope it doesn't look too scared, and don't be afraid, there's no time for that!

I really like the face of the fox!!...may I suggest to turn up the head, like she is looking at the arrow....the same direction of your champion...I think it could be more dramatic without any strange or weird facial expression or in this case animal... °.°

You have a really cool concept and remarkable idea for your 'hero - non hero'. It looks friendly and fits perfect your idea. Nice details tho. Keep doing, lot of work there, but you can do it
