I'm started working on my entry for the Art War. I'm going for team fantasy.

The story is about a dog, named Prian, who wants to save her alchemist owner. He has fallen ill with a mysterious disease and is on the verge of death. Prian was well trained by her owner and can cast magic thanks to her necklace and it's activated by her howling. She sets out to find different songs in the open world that are the key to healing her master's disease. In the way, she meets different animals that help her with her quest. That's what I have so far...

I have my own website but it's new and I haven't been able to add anything to it... www.joabt.net. I recently quit my job so I can't afford the adobe programs that I'm used to working with. I bought clip studio paint pro because it's cheap and it's a 1 time payment (this is what I'm using to paint). Luckily I was able to save and buy my wacom cintiq 13 hd.

Here's an update... I'm still trying to choose between dog breeds and war class. I've never owned a Silky Windhound so it's kinda hard to picture how it would react/move in each case. I have owned a mini schnauzer so it was a lot easier to picture that. I like how this one came out but I still haven't decided....

I'm going to tweak the back story a bit to fit the art war contest....
The story is about a dog, named Prian, who wants to save her alchemist owner. He has fallen ill with a mysterious disease that causes organic tissue to convert to machine and is on the verge of loosing his free will and becoming a robot. Prian was well trained by her owner and can cast magic thanks to her necklace and it's activated by her howling. She sets out to fight robots, find different songs in the open world that are the key to healing her master's disease. In the way, she meets different animals that help her with her quest, including a stealthy cat and a dog knight.

Now I have a better view inside my head of how I'm going to portray the final image...

Here's what I've done so far in making Prian a step further...
I'm still debating if I should add the cape/skirt thing because I don't want to cover the ruby necklace/harness. I'm also working on her weapon design.

I'm making changes to the dog's look by having long hair ears.

I'm having second thoughts about Prian's image... She's cool and all but I find it so hard to make her look like she can beat up the sci-fi team, you know, look more badass... It's late in the game to make a major change like this but I think I need to do it... I don't know if I'll make it in time but I will try my best...
