Posting here to claim real estate while I work. I'll be coming down on the side of Fantasy on this one, my champion an earnest young spirit-walker with a talent for spellcasting through pure willpower, and the Spirit of Revenge who brought her back from the dead and supplements her magic.

Finally found a good look for Utu. Manifested, he generally appears as a small ball of fire (perfect for disguising as a torch) or this helm, seemingly made of molten glass. Should Rashmi need it, he can deform to cover her face entirely, which helps a great deal if they need to perceive something together.

And a costume study, inspired by Bedouin robes. The striped wrap doubles as a scarf for traveling in high winds, as spirit-walkers tend to do a lot of traveling as a matter of course.

I like the idea of the molten glass armor that can deform, but it could be tricky to represent it in a drawing, I'm looking foward to see how you do it!

Yeah it's gonna be tough, but largely it'll just require me to up my color game.

That molten glass idea may be incredibly cool, if you execute it properly, it'll be tough. References all the way! You're probably iterating and testing ideas, but explore as much as you can and post some even if it isn't good. You just may stumble upon looks that weren't obvious, but friggin awesome.

Shall do! I'm limited in what I can work on though, being that I'm out of state for the holidays, so I won't be able to iterate as quickly as I'd like. I'll definitely be posting more before I have anything like a final submission, though!

this is great! Can't wait to see how she and Utu work together. glass and fire is such a cool idea! like the one reference you shared, I think you should keep checking out pics and videos of glass blowing process. This could turn into something epic and beautiful! keep it up!
