Hidden in a faraway land lies the Hellgate, a portal to the underworld, Raz is a member of the Chain clan that guards this gate and hunt down any demons that manage to slip through. When a child of the Chain clan turns 10 he is sent into the Hellgate with a mission: to capture and bind a low level demon to himself, the demon will be bound to the child for the rest of his life and serve as a source of information and power. From that point on the child loses his old name and takes on the name of the demon he has captured, the demon is then renamed "Servant".
Raz is regarded as a prodigy within his clan, he has gained great power and fighting experience despite his young age. He is smart, resourceful and a complete lunatic! He is unpredictable and battle hungry, he will not hesitate to put his life or others in danger if it allows him to fight a powerful opponent. Raz is specialized in a rather dangerous skill: Binding. Instead of killing the demons he encounters he binds them to himself and calls upon them whenever he needs their power. This ability however has a rather large drawback, the more demons he binds to himself the more he becomes infused with their energy, which results in the demonification of his body. Some members of his clan fear he has already become more demon than guardian.
