First of all, just gotta say i'm participating as team "Sci- fi " .
Here's the first four of my slightly neatened up concepts, which have been scaled up and refined from a select few of the thumbnails (thumbnail sheet is there too 
) .
The idea was to make a robotic champion, made to defend the earth from the 'fantastical realm' and who's idolised by the majority of mankind. I'm going to go for a more 'diesel' and jet age, atomic feel to the design, with a scratched but bright colour palette- which will all come in good time 
. Critiques are warmly welcomed, although keep in mind that these are rough placeholders for the final concept and illustration

(design 1 & 2: although I like the bulky round aesthetic to design #1, there's also a nice silhouette and shape language to design #2's overall design the only thing is that #2 looks more like an alien creature in it's forms)
(designs 2 & 3: design #3 has a bulkier, more traditional mech- like look - except for the head whereas design #4 has the look of a robotic solider suit or exoskeleton, which i'm not sure that's where i'd like to take my design- the shapes are far from appealing though, and worth experimenting with in my final design.)
(Thumbnail sheet: these are mostly just fun little shapes which i tried to come up with, nothing neat or detailed certainly.)
