ART WAR | 2D | Sci-fi Mermaid | imokaal

Hi everyone! I decided to go with team sci-fi for this, although my real passion is in the mix of fantasy and sci-fi. I really wanted to create an alien-esc mermaid with heavy sci-fi armour, and these are some of my ideas so far. This type of mermaid has legs as well as a tail, which works by wrapping the tail around the legs. I'm still figuring out practicality of legs, i guess shes a shallow water creature? Hahah! I would really appreciate if you let me know which one is your favourite and why! Cheers!

Long time no post! I've decided to make my character human, but dont worry she will still have a tail! It will be made of an artificial futuristic jelly substance which her suit forms, and when she doesn't need it anymore it just melts away! Here I am creating the base of her suit. Enjoy!

A couple things I have learnt while working on this project; my lack of experience with sci-fi concept work means that I am taking foreverrrr! But this has been so satisfying, so I will persevere. I'm having so much fun working on this! Id love some C&C for my work so far, thank you!

No CG expert here, by any means, but: this is looking good, but a couple things throwing me off, the feet look slightly pigeon toed, and her head looks a bit big for her body and arms could maybe be slightly longer. Just a few thoughts, I don't know if any of those things are intended because of your style or whatever, so feel free to totally ignore me too! lol
