Shogun is a cyberpunk vigilante set in the future of Japan.
When I created this character I was inspired my passion for old century Japenese fighting armor. I took elements of a samurai, ninja, gas mask, and futuristic armor. When they speak the voice has a synthesizer that alters it to mask identity. No witnesses have seen there true identity. Not even age can be assumed nor gender. Though people debate if it's even a human. Their choice of weapon are dual wakizashi.
I actually had more concepts of them however I decided to only combine images with the strongest development points of them. As you can see I thought long and hard about the emotion sheet, I wanted to make each one distinguishable from the other! I studied color symbolism as well as shapes. A little fun fact is that Shogun can mix and match colrs as well as emotions when they have mixed feelings.
I was very excited to design this character and look forward to the results of the contest, win or lose. I'm joined to this character by the hip!
