hello guys, I'm very excited about participating this contest, I hope I can learn something during this journey.

I want to do fantasy theme, and I first come up with a character type is samurai, so I want to combine some magical things with him, and this is my first doodling.

I drew front and back thumbnail , and I want to let him have a superpower which is building weapons with snows, because he is good at using katana, he always builds katanas by his power. and I came up a character's name called Snomurai, just combine snow and samurai this two words, I will post more detailed setting sketch.

Added more details on background and character, and found a katana reference photo to draw the ice katana, this piece is gonna be finished soon.

Very dynamic pose, i like it!
Will the ice katana emit light? Might be great to have it illuminate the mask of the character to focus the viewer's eyes there and maybe darken the edges of the whole picture with to create some kind of border? (like a vignette effect in photography)
Anyways, great job with the design process, looking forward to seeing the final version!
