woh what a beard , personally i like the undead dwarf more but the shoulder on this guy are great but his beard is like covering his armor maybe you can make the beard shorter . maybe you can combine this design with the undead one because undead's gauntlets and leg armor design was amazing

haha go beyond the limits!!

About looking too much alike, i don't think it is. It has your touch all around.

But Darksiders team pulled arguably one of the greatest concept work in the industry, so if you have them as reference, you are kinda pursuing greatness, think about it.

This is super common, hell, look at blizzard super praised art style, it drinks a lot from many classic tradicional fantasy painters.

I'm not naming or pointing fingers, it's just the way art evolves. Nothing is created out of the blue.

I love the silhouette outcome, the weapon and the shoulders is probably what Im going to remember the most! Armor design is sick and complex, pose is looking mighty and glorius. Perfect work man, cant wait to see the final illustration!
