I think the impact of the values is stronget on number 1, as well as the overall balance and composition. But number 3 looks interesting, too. Although I prefer number 1, definitely this one.

I'm'a agree, #1 is the strongest composition. #3 looks like it could be an excellent book cover, though, so in truth I'm torn.

Looks like you know what you're doing! Also, Bayard Wu is a really inspirational artist, and it'll be cool to see how this image is going to reflect his style.

I actually like the 2nd one though. All three of them are good. But I like the 2nd one just a bit more. Coz the character pose in no. 2 gives me a feeling of movement compared to the other two. That in a way, gives the work a sense of dynamic and also gives the character more personality. IMO, in the other two sketches, it is as if the character is just posing for the camera. But then again, I'm just judging from the sketches. The finished work may give me a different feeling after the colors and the details come into play.

Otherwise, your sketches are really good. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Looking forward to it!
