There is a remote temple where the monks are renown for their discipline and martial arts, but even more for their abilities to summon legendary spirits through forms and sacred weapons. Zhi is a precocious disciple at the temple; he is one of the few in his age group who have summoned these spirits. Save for an argumentative armadillo, however, the spirits he summons are all brain-dead and zombified! What did he do wrong?
Zhi is rather shy and awkward. He likes to pull his socks to his knees and button the top button. He uses double tonfas that resemble scrolls.

The tonfa is comprised of a scroll slightly suspended by a dragon-shaped handle. Usually, the scroll is completely still, even when hit. When activated by the bearer's movements, however, the scroll glows and spins, and magical glyphs unravel through the air. These combined ingredients can call forth spirits.
Only masters and talented students are allowed summoning weapons. I want the ancient tonfas look especially grandiose and weathered in Zhi's young hands.

First pass. Ahhh only a couple days left...
