they all are beautiful! i like the 3rd one best because the cape gives her balance and the thigh straps are cool!

Thank you so much, glad you like it!
Well I'm new here and I'm a little lost yet lol I want to see the other entries, I guess I'll get used to it the next days
Cheers!

A knight without a sword is like a samurai without a katana, so I'm sure my character will have one big sword.
Today I started sketching some basic shapes, not sure yet, maybe I do more sketches later or rework the best of these options, which one is the best? any suggestion is pretty welcome!

Haha yeah you'll get used to it don't worry it's normal to feel a bit lost at first

You're swords are nice but they all remind me of existing swords, try to go a bit more crazy with the shapes, it's fantasy you can do anything! You can do it!

I really like b's flow but I also like E's dragon like shape at the base also I really like A's handle! great work! they look fierce!

@rgdraw Thanks! yeah I feel the same, I like E and B mostly but they need to be more unique or they'll need pretty cool details so I'll be trying new things later
@sanguine Thank you, good to know it!
@sparksofdawn Thanks! I'll have it in mind, the best would be a sword that she can use it both ways, two handed or one handed because she will have a second physical weapon to use her power
@Gil_Ascher Thank you! yeah my favorite is E then B, I'll need to make some changes taking both as base : )

You're welcome, I'm sure you'll find the right details for it

8 days later

Well it's been a long time since my last update, I've been pretty busy but I need to catch up so for now I did some rough sketches trying to find the right pose and composition so later I can do the character sheet based on the final image.
I'm sure I want to do an action scene because that's the kind of stuff I don't do often so I'll be out of my comfort zone and maybe I shoot my foot but hey it's called challenge for a reason so let's see how this goes.
B and C I think are the best, D is a fail XD I think I was tired maybe, so I think I will go with B unless something better comes along the way, let me know if I'm choosing right

Looks awesome, I like B as well, A could work as a cautious, battle-hardened (and a little tired) veteran ready to go into battle, surrounded by enemies  but for an action shot - yeah, B seems best. The left arm seems stiff though in the composition shot. Come to think of it, the whole body seems a bit tense, but it might be due to the arm. Maybe she could be aiming at the right monster?
In any case - looking forward to more epicness ^^
