The one on the bottom left corner (first batch) was looking very promising and easy to understand (with directionnal arrow on his arms, which is important for your design I suppose ?).
Except for the triangle shape on middle chest, a bit too much superman reminder maybe ? ^^
Why not two opposite arrows or something ?
Casual ones (shirt etc) could be nice as well...good luck choosing again xD
here is the next batch of stuff! more to come as usual! Still working the iterations but it think i found a promising direction for what I am trying to achieve. Still working to convey the gravity power a little more - another concept mood piece is probably in order to convey it properly. I also may try glowing blue / purple hair.
Wow it is getting super interesting !!!
Although, that's maybe just me, but I have the feeling of a villain now.
Mostly because of purple/dark purple...meaning death in Asia (I know we are sure not all from Asia - me neither...and I just found this article and I'm wrong more or less haha https://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2012/06/color-and-cultural-design-considerations/
Very interesting to read ^^ (but you probably already know some of these explanations)).
Do you think arrows on his pants will cluttered too much on the design ?
Anyways I really enjoy how deep you go with this character !
Can't wait to see the illustration : D
I like how you implemented those downward facing arrows as a design motif for his gravity powers. I think it's difficult to imply such an abstract power within his costume design but you managed to pull it off with an interesting solution! I also dig the 'western comic book hero' feel for this one. Really cool stuff!
