Very nice sketches, i like 3rd one the most. A kind of forest dwarf, small, but nimble and tough. Perfect defender of his land.
To be honest, the later design of a druid-like female seem more generic. It's something i've seen before. Don't get me wrong, she's also very well designed and looks awesome, but in terms of originality, the previous sketches win.

I believe in you, you can do it, your concept piece feels like an illustration already, just imagine the illustration is a concept piece but with some story in it!

You're absolutely right. But this is a contest and you need to draw a character to win. And usually quite simple characters win and more often female ones.
Don't get me wrong I totally get your statement about winning and all...but some of us are also here for sharing stuffs/ideas etc, encouraging others and improving.
Some of us know we have almost 0 chances to be on the podium (because of skills/experiences a bit low etc)...or even to be in the 50th first.
But we are still here because Art War (friends and other stuffs too) is keeping us motivated.
Although...I think you're right about the second sentence ^^'
So...should we all quit (or start again from scratch ?) if we don't have a female for the contest ?
