You're absolutely right. But this is a contest and you need to draw a character to win. And usually quite simple characters win and more often female ones.
Don't get me wrong I totally get your statement about winning and all...but some of us are also here for sharing stuffs/ideas etc, encouraging others and improving.
Some of us know we have almost 0 chances to be on the podium (because of skills/experiences a bit low etc)...or even to be in the 50th first.
But we are still here because Art War (friends and other stuffs too) is keeping us motivated.
Although...I think you're right about the second sentence ^^'
So...should we all quit (or start again from scratch ?) if we don't have a female for the contest ?

Beautiful illustration! Hopefully one day I can achieve this level of skill O: . I do enjoy how the contrast draws the eye to the main character - my only problem is the straight trees in the background look a little awkward somehow when I look at them... they seem almost too uniform and straight, especially next to the larger tree on the left and how spiraled and curvy the characters look.
I could definitely see this character being in WoW or LoL to be honest, lovely design <3
