Going for stylised look with some tribal mayan\aztec vibes.
She's going to be a magic monkey. I'm thinking towards healing abillities. I might give her medium-small sized staff or some kind of talisman that gives her the power. Hmmm...

Nice! Magic monkey medic... that's pretty cool actually

They all look pretty good and more appealing than the initial outfit. I loved the third design but the second one fits more her personality as being a monkey.

Probably silly comment...but her shoulder are sexy :3

At this momen your character look like a human with some weird feet, no offense here. Try to take a look at the marmoset monkeys as a ref, it could help you to figure it out ^__^
Also if you aren't sure about her weapon put some off-hand on her tail!

Good point there.
By the way, my vote goes to the first design.

@toutydroid Ye after doing a bit more thinking i've decided that the 3rd one is more "friendly" than the 2nd one., thank you

@mr_dessin sexy shoulders xDD nice one, thanks

@ujinshamoney Well, yes, i agree that this sketch looks more human based but i dont wanna make a proper monkey either. And as a reference i've been using Spider monkeys mostly coz they are more appealing to me. But again I dont wanna make her super weird with a small head and very long arms and legs, so Im still in search of the proportions I'd prefer.
Ye the tail thingy I had in my mind as well
thanks

@Serfer thanks  But i figured since she is a hero not a villain i wouldnt include parrots skulls x) Wanna make her pretty friendly (although monkeys are never friendly haha)

I see... now, even if the third one looks friendly, the second one looks more tribal to me, except by the head... so maybe if you mix them? :open_mouth:

haha  well, im trying to do things and oh god! why is it so hard. I feel that i lack so much knowledge in developing the craracher, or perhaps just the skill xD i wanna give up

Yeah, I think comming up with good design it's hard, I my self have been avoiding it for a long time and I'm only focusing on technical skills (waiting to reach term's 5 character design xD).

But don't give up! One thing I have seen every successful artist out there always have in common, is that they have always keep up even in their hardest times. So I think the very very basic key to succces it's never give up! Even if you fail, you would have learnt something.

thank you a lot :> this is a great support <3

Cool idea, to drop my 2 cents - I like the second design but maybe matched with the 3rd headpiece, I feel like they have more common design elements. Good luck, she's coming along nicely!

I'm digging 3 the most there. I think it has the most interesting shapes to the silhouette and the best rhythm in texture (3rds).

Its also one that I feel I haven't seen an analogue of before. Yep, more I look at em the more I think 3 is the best from that selection.

Thank you everyone for your opinions and support

I've decided to push the 3rd design more and i worked more on the body architecture too.
I like how the 2nd iteration turned out. So for now I will leave it at this stage and I will try to figure out what kind of the talisman she is holding in her hand that gives her the magic power. And then i will see how it works out all together and maybe add a bit more details here and there
and then decide on the colour.

23 days later

I've been away for a while because I had to do a little trip to a different country
So now im back and I am probably way behind everyone else in here but I do not care! haha
Before I left for my holiday I tried to come up with some rough colour schemes that I didn't like in the end of the day.

And Today I decided to tweak the design a bit and add a staff to make it more obvious that she uses magic

Here come colours - my weakest side.
