@pencilequipped thanks a lot! :3 im glad she turned out to be looking as a hero, yaay!

@mr_dessin thanks! oh yes, i was doing a lot of different jumping variations and the one that looked somewhat great were covering half of her outfit and i though it is not very beneficial for this particular challenge ;> so i'll just stick to this one

It's coming along really nice!
The environment has a nice feeling altogether. Making her stand out too!

I did a little experiment. Played around with the saturation. Felt colors needed to have that vibrant punch. Try and avoid near black tones. Instead use a slightly darker tint of a desired color. e.g. pink > dark pink or deep purple but not something toward black. Situations do differ however.. in this case it's the outdoors, clear sky n all.. if it was an indoor shoot with studio lights, colors will look way different. There, black can work in some way. Depending on the lighting rig.
Somehow the .zip file is not displaying. Here's a download link containing the .psd file for you to check out.

Meanwhile .. notice i duplicated your whole image and set the blend mode to "screen" ; you can do this after you've completed the painting. Then place all the adjustment layers over that image and finalize the overall color treatment.

Indoor dark - (notice her skin)

Best examples :
Indoor light -

Outdoor -

I keep tweaking some things bit by bit to see what i like the most

@nevs38 thanks!
well, those dark things u've seen around feathers were just rough sketchup for myself to define where each of them starts and ends.
To my taste I wouldn't add so much vibrance to this picture.
I obviously haven't done anything much about light situation and reflected light (shadows and occlusion as well) yet as i usually build everything up slowly as i go.
and yes, once i will be finished with the illustration i merge all the layers and only then i tweak colour, hue, vibrancy. (Simply by going to image>adjustments>levels/or vibrance/or huesat/ etc/) As i find it works better for me most of the time rather than layers with different properties

@anilduyalbaydir thanks! yes, i was going to work on feet and hands and everything. (just gimme some time haha :D)

Love the happy flowers that you have introduced to her, sorry I lost track of your thread while the month has gone on. Happy to see the direction you have gone in is so fun.

haha thanks  i lost track of everything at this point haha

Changed her leg position and foot structure, coz i've noticed that i've painted human feet with 6 fingers instead of the monkey feet, oops!
Did a bit of resizing to her head as well.
Hopefully today later on I can spend enough time on it to finish the largest part of painting.
I wanna finish it before the time runs out  because i've come so far! Might as well push yourself harder!
i was never into competitions in my life.. and honestly, while doing this I went through a LOT of stuff and I've learnt a lot about myself and about the workflow too so it is a great personal achievement

Very nice! The only thing I'd maybe think about is adding something in the far background where the sky is. Right now, it's basically a relatively large flat blue color and I find it's a bit distracting against everything else. Like I see you had a temple in one of your earlier version or maybe some far away mountains could work. Or maybe even just some clouds would help.

Beyond that though I really like where this is going. Keep it up!

Thanks! Oh yes i have added a background building there on picture before, i just forgot to switch that layer on again when i was saving it c:

Looking very cute!
A few things to keep in mind when doing the finishing touches, since she’s outside, darker skin is quite reflective, so It’d look nice if you used some of the sky color to add highlights to her skin, and the other reflective surfaces in the picture. 👌

oh yes i will do that indeed! thanks

A little sad you erased the pyramid/temple in the background...it was looking good ^^ (and follow your character composition etc)
Best of luck for the finishes !

nono i havent erased it! i just forgot to switch that layer on before i saved it in jpg XD
and thanks

Oof released xD and you're welcome !

Well forget all I said about that then XD

Although, maybe a few clouds could be nice too. Still it's coming along very well. Don't give up!
