Oh nice to see you there!
Looks interesting, good luck!

hi! it's been a while!
Thank you, I will definitely need it haha

looks awesome! Really nice values and edge control.

Hey and welcome to the challenge! Liking the concept and you made some good progress already. Personally I think the face feels better in the b&w version than the colored one - the rendering is subtler and in a way tighter. The color concept is pretty scarry - if you can pull this of it'll be amazing :o one thing that bugs me is the red around the hip area that acts as a strong focal and demands a lot of attention taking away from the face without being that cool to look at if you know what I mean. Hope this helps in a way. Wish you all the best and good luck!
Cheers

hey! thank you for your review. I do appreciate your thoughts but i like the design as is. Also I didn't specifiy but I was inspired by the Quetzal bird which looks like this.

I truly appreciate your opinion though

Gosh this is shaping up really nicely. I feel very behind now... Still, it's good to know there are other late entrants as well.

I wonder, are you planning on giving her more sun imagery in her armour?

This looks lovely already! As a sun goddess, what are her abilities going to be? I'm curious.

Thank you! I.. think I won't add more sun imagery in her armour. I've yet to draw the backside so i'm not entirely sure. I want to keep the concept to feel like Quetzacoalt and make her look like a sun Goddess without me mentionning it or adding to much details... I might change the halo on her back... Anyway! I need to think about it more lol. You definitely did trigger a debate in my mind! x)

Thank you! She basically uses the sunlight rays to repel/kill demons. It's a bit like the sun light benefits healing yet destructive! Also since she is half bird, she can manipulate birds.

Of the compositions you have so far, I think I like the first one best, it's very ... Striking I think would be the word. Also, maybe it's just hearing you talk about it, but it does seem a fitting pose for a sun goddess somehow? Regardless looking forward to more, as ever.

Nice! It's gonna look amazing!
