So heres some stuff I guess
Starting with an illustration this time around. Concept will come second.

Here is a mech an pilot concept sketch I did for my 3d entree I was thinking about doing. Thought I share it for fun.

Thanks. For the 2d piece, I plan on making it some kind of energy expanding effect. I have an older wip of it right here:

I'll probably give the mech a tail weapon and some kind of big gun.

Is it some kind of wings on his shoulders/back ?

Honestly I don't know. When I was painting, I was only thinking about flow and making cool shapes. So in my head, she has a ripped cape and the 2 big shapes on her back can be anything at the moment. I was think they were a energy battery pack thing or maybe an energy dispenser that can make plasma wings. Something like that. For the first time I was just using my visual library and seeing how far I could get before reference. Now I have to define things.

I can understand that part...sometimes we draw things without really knowing what we're doing exactly ^^
The magic of the flow we could say.

I like the claw like shape coming up from behind, mimicing the hand a bit as though being controlled by it. Looking forward to seeing more.

im going to be completely honest the first thing i saw when i looked at the shoulder things was a pair of shoes .

Lol No worries. Hopefully when I add more detail and some other stuff it won't come off that way.

Besides that, do you have any feedback on the composition, colors, details or the planet in the background? I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

Maybe you should add some others colours ?
I was going to tell you the other day, sorry to be so late ^^'

Even with few tints...Maybe some yellow or another very distinct colour.
Also...if you are on another planet than earth, you could change grass and sky (rocks too maybe) colours as well.

The other problem I have (maybe that's just me ?) but it's not easy to understand what is really her power on the illustration (without explanations)...I guess she is feeding the cristal with robot powers/energy or something ?

Lastly...maybe she is a bit too much in front of us, try to create an angle more interesting (or extend canvas ?) ?
(and I'm already sorry to say all of this...and now I only can see shoes like @brandoncrampton1 said ^^''' maybe these "wings" could be some sort of vaccum for the wrong energy or I don't know ?)

I really hope others will help you...more advices are sure better than just one...(but could also be burdened when there are too much; and going on all different directions ^^').
