She is a princess who escaped her father who wanted to marry her after the death of the queen. She took with her the head of a dragon which was kept as a war trophy in the kingdom. The soul of the creature still remains here, and gives her the ability to produce and manipulate blue flames, but is slowly taking over her mind.

I changed my mind, instead of being a dragon, she will be inspired by the tale of Peau d'Âne: a princessed who escaped her father who wanted to marry her, taking the skin of the dragon with her as a disguise.
But wearing the dragon skin turned her evil.

wow! the idea is very cool! can't wait to see next steps!

Maybe a mix of both ?
I enjoy the first one but maybe the hair is almost same colour as the power...why not trying to put orange hair then ? ^^

The cameo is a solid option.
Either, Power, hair, beast head and skin in blueish tones and hair, dress, threads in redish tones. Or everything around blue/violet can do the trick.
It might help if you know the colour schemes for the landscape and lighting.

Maybe make her cloat and clothes float in the air so it follow your "snail" path ? ^^

Lovely character concept! : )
She is super cute and looks strong and confident at the same time.
And the head piece is very cool! Just miss some more azure colour from the character. Maybe the gems in her jewellery?

A few progress shots ago you had more of a singed circle of grass around her, that seemed to be a great idea, clearly showing the destruction of the lands, its a bit to subtle in the current version.

As far as something in the background, perhaps just render out the shadows cast by the curvy rocks a bit more, and cast them on a few of the mid field wolves and across her as well, just get some more fun shadows going on to blend the image better.

Perhaps do a line of singed grass back towards the enemies to show she shot that way already.

I hope some of this helps, keep at it!
