Green could be associated with poisonous things too hehe
In Asia, purple is synonym of death if I'm correct.

Because green is the color of life, forest, trees, it means good things usually, you go at the green light, not the red for exemple
And yes it can mean poison, that's why I gave Loki as an exemple earlier

I think that colours should not be too much link with what we know (too) much...imagination should not be stopped (at least not yet haha).

I know that it's nice to think outside the box and break the codes to let our imagination go wild, but we must not forget that sometimes non artist looks at our work so it has to be understandable for them too (i learned that the hard way, people were like "wtf is this ?" )
I see what you guys are saying. Green is vague, to be honest. If you want it to convey poison, you need other colors to support that, like pink and navy, while if you want it to convey life, forest, and trees, you might support that with yellows and sky-blues.

If you can, you should totally try to re-incorporate the butterfly wings somewhere in your design. It's a nice element that I think you can use to your advantage.
