After a little tweaking of the main figure's arms, redesigning the sky and adding some color, here is where things stand. Now to get into the real painting part.
Progress on the final render. More work to do on the soldiers, sand and swirl.

@malcolm I posted the finals again to the original post and they still end up down here at the bottom. Did I do something incorrectly?
Just edit your first post using the edit button in the bottom right of it (it looks like a pencil) and add your pictures in it.
