A villain inspired by the greek king Aeacus.
The legend says that once impregnated with the child of a giant, a woman was thrown on a deserted island to give birth and then to perish. The kid however, trusted with the great key of the giants, remained stranded on that island for the rest of his life. Fearing madness, he turned every ant on the island into men, becoming a beloved king and raising a small empire. After that, only disparity came. A plague spread wild throughout the city. Many blamed the giants, many the king. Fearing death, the people chose to take their own life. And so, from a prospering city, it become nothing.
With everyone dead, the grieving king had no choice but to decent into madness holding onto the only responsibility he had left, protecting the key.
While the people and the city may be gone, the ants still infest the island. The king sits on his stone throne, with the so called the Man-Eating Fungus behind him. It is said that every soul that ventures upon this island is teared apart by the ants and fed to the fungus witch, in turn, provides food for them.
I tried to design it as a boss with 2 stages, the first one should be a more ranged battle with him sitting down and attacking mostly using the ants, if you get close to him he uses the axe. In the second stage he gets up. His movements should be a little uncany because of his unnaturaly long spine, giving him a set of movements like the dancer from Dark Souls 3. This is when he will attack with mostly the axe and as a passive he should use the ants.
Throughout all this battle the spores in the air created by the fungus should give poison damage.
Because the purpose of this fight is to get the key, even after you defeat him you should not receive it. The key is hidden in the fungus so you have to throw an explosive into the fire in the back to blow it to bits and finally pick up the key.
