Generations of people that knew her real name are long dead. Those that are still alive began referring to her as the Summoner of Forgotten Gods. The only weapon
she's carrying is inconspicuous, a whistle, no bigger than the palm of a hand. And yet, the moment you hear it's sound you realize that it's no longer save to stay where you are. Screams of unknown souls are coming out of the instrument, and each of them is more terrifying than the previous, and each of them calls upon entity more powerful and more
deadly. The limits of her power are yet to be tested..

I like to start my character with super rough sketches or silhouettes, just to get an idea about the movements that fit to my brief. Trying out different poses help me decide what kind of mood I want to show through my designs.

I'm super excited, I really hope I will manage to finish this challenge despite busy schedule ^^

Really cool power! I also love your silhouette thumbnails. They look so dynamic. I can't wait to see more and good luck to you

Feeling those dynamic silhouettes. I'm interested in seeing what you do with this

@cedricgo @sani @rgdraw thank you guys! I'm really excited for the idea, I like all things creepy and I would like this one to also have some creepy vibe to her, let see how it goes! I will have more sketches soon.

I've played a bit around with portraits. I'm still wondering what kind of mood I want to depict. I feel like story of my villain is a sad one, she has powers that are too heavy to bear but there is no way back at this point. I also don't want to loose the feeling of danger. I definitely will have to do a lot of planning for the main illustration!

I look forward to your feedback!

First batch, 1, 2, 3 & 6.
But 3 & 6 are the most intriguing !

Thanks a lot for your input! I also feel like the first batch was a bit more successful. I'm tempted to go with closed eyes but it's always a tricky decision because it's very limiting in terms of expressions :stuck_out_tongue: But pehaps it's good to stry something new!

Within the first batch, I really like 5 (bottom row center). She feels like she's scared and trapped by her powers, and could serve to be an interesting dynamic with a reluctant villain that's being possessed by powers. I don't know if that's even the feel your going for, but might be something to consider!

@luigimanese this is actually exactly what I had in my head while creating her story ^^ I think I will go for this kind of look (scared and lost), but I think I will try to push it toward more stylised design. Let's see how this goes, hopefully I will make big progress this weekend since there is a bit of free time

oi, Christmas were very busy this year! I was able to sketch a bit but it was difficult to find time and post. I'll try to catch up ^^ I have some concepts for one of the "forgotten gods" (it's mask, to be more precise) that my character will be summoning on the main illustration.

I've also prepared quite a few sketches for the outfit. I wanted something with flow and feminine looking but harsh and rough in the same time. Something that feels slightly uncomfortable since my character is suffering through her powers.

I'll share concepts for illustration soon, once I cleaned up everything I've randomly sketched so far ^^ As always I will be happy to hear your feedback!

I like the first one! It has a little something that show her character more than the others

I'm pretty partial to 3 and 1. 3 I get the feeling like she's being controlled rather than being in control. Kind of a vibe like says she's doing the bidding of the forgotten god.

@rgdraw @sani thanks a lot guys! I'm also torn between 1 and 3. I like that the other two show full character but I cannot deny that they are not very unique. I think I'm leaning the most towards the 3rd option but I have to play around with light and composition to make sure the creature doesn't steal all attention. The character should be much bigger I think.

Nice ^^
The only little advice would be to extend little more the bottom part for the 80% character visibility...
I get it the monster is a part of her but still her entire legs don't appear on the canvas.
Or maybe I'm just too anxious many won't even be judged because of this 80% thing...

What do you say, about 80% villain appearance @acolet , @malcom , @cedricgo that's fine ?

Oh and I really enjoy her face skull shape, very graceful and hands, so lovely hands ^^

Yes, I would suggest showing more of your character.

@mr_dessin if an entry doesn't show the character from head to toe as advised, it will most likely still go to the judges, but the unclear presentation will be penalized in their rating.
Unless of course, it's a portrait or something like that, then it will be disqualified outright.
