Nice you didn't use MD? surprised and yes it does look decent, my 1st reaction to the update was whoa that's a lot of hair still like it all though.
As for the guns maybe you can plan out a modular setup since you are going for 6? guns? my thoughts on that are you are trying to reference the 6shooter of that age? If it is just a coincidence well cool it works.

Looking good, however i'd start on her low res if you haven't yet. Just mention this because i to leave things till the very end and regret it a lot, luckily i finally learned from it.

Yeah everything is done here in Zbrush. I was going to look into buying it for myself or get my studio to pay for it for me but figured I wouldn't have the time to learn it and work on this competition at the same time. And yeah the plan is to at least finish off the character itself and then have at least 1 type of gun. My initial plan is to do a design loosely based on a Winchester 1887 Shotgun and then see how far I go from there. Ill likely get this character to a point where its finished for the competition but will likely add more to it following on after the competition.

The latest comp extension time has given me a little more time to get things done! Finished up retopologizing things inside of Maya to a point where I can get started on sorting things out to bake and get into the fun part of texturing! Here is hoping I can keep things up and get everything done on time!

Jesus lord thats good, how do you sort out the ruffles? They look so great, and the overall twisty-flowy shapes through everything is awesome design.

Spent the day UV mapping. Not sure how many maps I want to go with though. I might make things easy for myself and rearrange these onto what will be a single texture map OR go with 1 or 2 separate maps. In any case, it means ill be able to get to baking things 2moro in a sprint to the finish for texturing!

Burning the candle at both ends to get things done! Finished off baking the base maps. I use a combination of Normal Maps, AO, Bent Normal and the occasional Curvature Map here and there. I use both Substance and XNormal to bake things out depending on what seems cleaner or sharper. Next up is the really fun stuff of texturing. Ive been waiting to texture this character for far too long now! In the end I went with a single 4K map.

So I managed to knock out a colour ID map and started blocking out the base colour of the character. I even managed to stream it here!

That being said.... im not gonna lie... Its pretty freakin boring since about 90% of it is painting out big blocky colours for the colour ID because I was sick of baking stuff and didnt set things up nicely to assign materials inside of maya for the colour ID's. The last few minutes shows off my way setting things up for that stylized hand painted textures look but all the actual texturing will probably be over the next couple of days.

Painting up some more texture details. I think ill have to timebox myself for the rest of the texturing otherwise ill just go into zen mode and just keep texturing and forgetting about the time left. I still have the guns to do. I have a bit of a plan on that front though but that will be what I plan on workin on over the weekend

Well I didn't get everything I wanted into this but I got something that im pretty pleased with! The shader inside of Marmoset came out pretty sweet as well!
