BOOBS, BOOBS AND BUM!! thats me sold lol... seriously i do love the cute look to this character, great start man. liking the outfit design so far. did you ever think of a hooded head scarf thingy could maybe look cool that would drape round her shoulders and give her mor flowey fabric that gypsies tend to have, just a thought
@Maxloegler Thanks man!
@Alien_hand Hahaha, it's one of those "sexy / beauty of the natural body" type things. I did! but I do want her to show off the body mainly, I think a lot of open skin on a dancer has an air of confidence, so I didn't want to enclose that confidence with a lot of layers
@Crazymoon haha, thanks man! I love tackling strange shader challenges, especially since I'll be doing it in Marmoset.
@Ndevos Thank you! Still a few things I want to push like the nostril shape and parts of the check where the laugh line crosses.
@Art1ficer Thanks man, but she's no slave Keepin at it!
@MisterWolfen I'm tryin haha, haven't gotten back to that part in full, but I'm experimenting with some extra forms for the side sash
@engcenti Thanks!
Alrighty guys, finally gettin this WIP up, trying to get all the forms in so everything will be ready for sculpting, still got the most to go with in the hair and the side sash, but it's getting along. The original Lotus idea I had in the design didn't look good when I tried sculpting it, so I did a similar pendant on the top to use on the skirt. Used Zbrush native subtool transparency to simulate the idea for the transparent cloth. As always feel free to C&C!
@Dandoombuggy Thanks man! I did have some but probably not enough. You're right, I didn't want her to have big hips but I went maybe a touch too far the other way, when I widen it I'll probably find the legs are alittle short too haha
Alright, time to keep these updates frequent, had a lot going on over the past month. Added more to the side sash, widened the hips, shortened the torso, edited the legs, still got the feet to go as far as touch up. Next is the headband, gonna be probably the most intricate part of her jewelry; gonna be fun Time to catch up!
I'm going to do a lot of large shape patterns on parts of the Transparent clothing to link the Line of Actions and direct the eye around (same thing with the tattoo's I'm probably gonna add). As always feel free to C&C
looking really awesome!!
i do agree with @dandoombuggy still, the body shape at the torso area reminds me of a male super hero, a V tapered shape rather than the "typical" hour glass figure of a belly dancer
hope you dont mind but drew over a little to explain what i mean
maybe i pushed it tooooooo wide but... yea.... >.> haha
hope this helps!
haha, alittle too wide in my opinion too @Ooyoo, but I think you're right, gonna continue to push it in relation to the width of the waist. Thanks a lot for the paintover!
@Maxloegler Thanks man! I think I can make the feathers work (was thinking about the use of them on the headband i'll be adding). I could definitely replace them with the large shape patterns I'll be using on the transparent cloth though; Gianluca Rolli's "Moon & Sun" piece, really his work in general, is a pretty big inspiration for the look/mood of the transparent cloth pattern designs.
@sarawildeart Thanks
@fantasymaster That's a mighty compliment, will do!
Pushed the hips and update on the headband, still got a few forms I'd like to incorporate on that one. Also re-did the paint over after Using the Transpose mesh feature haha, took the time to try a bit of a different color scheme, more iterations on that later.
I'd say, push the hips even more! She still looks more like before. I really like @Ooyoo's paintover suggestion!
