Hi all, for this one I'm going to create a Sci-fi horror style character.. i hope that's ok for the competition?

My aim is to create a cybernetic female character inspired by the Hellraiser characters (which explains the name) but also games like Dead space and Doom also.

Concept art
Err.. i dont usually create concept art for my own characters..i just start sculpting in ZBrush and see how it goes..anyone else do that or is it just me being unprofessional?

First WIP render
I started from a anatomical base mesh, started cutting it up and resizing the torso because i want a weird elongated look. Then i started using the claltubes and DS brush to start working on the weird muscle groups and bone shapes. Later on i may or may not turn these in to mechanical pieces, not sure what ratio of flesh to cybernetics i want yet.

2nd render
Starting to add more detail and shape to face/ chest and head.. not sure how much of the flesh i will keep on the face but its good to have something to start from.

Swapped the face out for a skull, think i want her to look more like a re-animated corpse than alive.

Another update
Started kitbashing hard surface stuff on there, some parts from my prev models and some from free kitbash packs.

@zerojs I thought they said in the rules that all your kit bash stuff had to be made from scratch for this project, so no recycling, and you couldn't use stuff from the inter webs, I would check just to be sure

hmm thats a good point, All i can find about that is this:
"No art recycling, your entry has to be new and made specifically for this contest"

Which i thought meant you couldn't just submit a fully finished character that you have already made.

But a quick search revealed this:

"ah, no sorry man. the main thread indeed doesn't say it ( maybe now it does) but in the comment section this was also asked and anwsered with a ''no, original art only, should probally have said that'' -marc. so as you can see, that is a no and no premade pieces either, so if you are a fan of your own kitbashing you need to make a fresh batch for this contest."

So i guess thats the end of that..
