Quick update:

Face fixed (I've choosed an earlier version and ditch the "sugery likeness goal"). Posing done, arms, feet pending.

Next step: cloths/hardsurface/hair/reto/texturing/baking/rendering... Well... Dammit.

There's something off with her face. Will try to fit it.

Hi everyone, I'm a hobbyist just looking to have fun and improve my overall skills for this challenge.

For this project, I'll pick the sci-fi category.

For now, I have a vague clue of what I'm looking for:
-minimalism
-realism
-mood
-expression
-no cable/bolt (they are gross, I hate them from the bottom of my heart).

My main character is a japanese woman, I want her to be like a cross between Tony Stark and Jodie Foster.

I want her to have short air, no make up, fit but not a cliché (sexualized characters in arts are like cable and bolt for me: distractiong and not usefull).

My main model for this character will be Kikuchi Rinko (love her facial features/structure, weird, and she's beautiful).

Here's a vague idea. I'm not that great with photoshop but it's a good start.

I'll post my ref tomorrow and work in progress soon.

I'm not fast as all of you and wonder if I'll be in time but I am not here to win anyway, I just want to make a finish piece (getting tired of thoses "2016 infinite WIP").

I'm really impressed by all of you. Damn, I hate all of you in fact LOL.

Nice dude! This is definitely the place to be learning, not everyone but a lot of people will be sharing their thought process about stuff. I'd say your anatomy could use some touch ups but your proportions look alright for a start (too much booty overhang haha).

Welcome aboard- oh wait.... sci-fi !?...smh haha, still looking forward to the wips

Here's a quick update. I'll take the whole week to finish the body + face. Next week: hard surface stuff, cloth.

Oh, I forgot: it's maybe weird but I need to complete the body first before making the concept (I have a already a bunch of references) I'll make a paint over then (I suck at 2d drawing).

I used to hate "concept art" but know I see the purpose behind this. I've spend a lot of days modeling a whole body without a clear direction. I shouldn't have. My main focus will be from now on, the face and the hands, with my base mesh, the garment will be enough (life savior as I hate human anatomy).

I love the suit but it lacks a scifi touch.

-be proud of myself (already at this point, this is the first time that I stick to one project and make a likeness/anatomy sculpt).
